I have been given an exciting opportunity for this summer and I’d love to have you share in it with me!

 

As many of you know, I am graduating high school this year. What you may not know is that I have been interested in missions from a young age. This past fall, I applied for a summer missions internship in the Netherlands through the Baptist Mid-Missions mission board. It was a dream opportunity for me, but seemed unlikely I would be accepted. However, in early December, I received my acceptance letter and began the paperwork process!

 

I will be in the Netherlands from June 26th through July 31st of this year, assisting missionaries Daniel and Heather Boyd with their summer outreach projects, as well as whatever other tasks are assigned.

 

My objectives for the trip: Listen, learn, and serve.

 

• I want to listen to the stories of the people I have the opportunity to meet, listen to those who have wisdom to share, and listen to God for direction.

• I want to learn more about the country and its people, learn more about the day in and day out of missions, and learn more of the language.

• I want to serve the missionary family, the Dutch church, and whoever else God places in my path!

 

How can you help? I need to raise about $2,400 to cover airfare, living expenses while in the Netherlands, and overseas health insurance. I also need the support of your prayers, for my spiritual and physical health, my ministry, and those I will come in contact with.
